History

Mr. Osborn was the original owner of the resort property.
In 1984, Lenore & Vito Radelich purchased two of the original Victorian-era cottages of the Osborn House — a popular summer vacation complex in the early part of the century. The Osborn House property changed owners several times over the years and was sadly neglected. Imagining their former glory, Lenore and Vito began work on these Victorian Ladies.

"Cottage Two" as it was named, is now the front of the inn pictured on our home page. This house with the original stone foundation, porch and spindles sits in its original location. The sister house "Cottage One," however, was originally located 200 feet to its right. In 1984, Cottage One, with all its dishes resting in their cupboards, was slowly moved intact to join with Cottage Two. Remarkably, nothing was damaged and Lenore and Vito attentively rescued all salvageable wood, stained glass and even corner moldings.

The Osborn House was a popular Victorian-era vacation complex.

A newly built section joined these two structures, painstakingly echoing the keyhole windows, gingerbread trim and carefully painted woodwork of the originals. The project was lovingly completed after two years and named Albergo Allegria, Italian for the "Inn of Happiness".

In 1996, the former Osborn House horse stables were transformed into the five Carriage House Suites. These deluxe rooms are located just behind the inn and provide exquisite accommodations for privacy seekers.
